Registration
1. You need to form a team of 4 people to partake in Fitness Challenge.
2. Once you have 4 team members, allocate a team captain. The team captain needs to go into the Registration section and register the team name and team members. To do this the team captain must have each team member’s work email address.
3. Once the team captain has registered the team, each team member will receive an email to tell them they have been registered. Each team member MUST activate their registration for the team (instructions will be in the email sent to you).
Getting Ready
1. Once your team has activated their registration you will be sent a Starter pack which will include:
- Welcome letter
- Exercise book
- Sling Backpack
2. Each team member will now receive regular emails to inform you when the Fitness Challenge begins.
Once Fitness Challenge begins
1. The program runs for 28 days.
2. Each team member is responsible for recording their daily activity on the Fitness Challenge site Check In area, with the goal of achieving a team distance of 320km over the 4-weeks or 80km/week (length of The Great Ocean Road from Queenscliff to Port Ferry).
3. Check In to record your exercise throughout the week. The following Monday of each week will be your last opportunity to record activity for the previous week i.e Check in for Week 1 needs to be completed by the Monday of Week 2 etc.
4. Team members can achieve the kilometres in a number of ways including walking, jogging, cycling and swimming. The Fitness Challenge site will automatically convert the distance you have covered to kilometres, wherby all activities share equal grounding i.e If you swim 1km this will be converted to 2.65km to allow for discrepancies between each activity. You can go to the Check In area at any time to convert your kilometers, you will be required to use this guide regularly and it is essential to Check In before the end of each week.
5. You can see how your team is going compared to other teams in the competition by going to the View Race Progress section.
